Dell Launches Slew Of SMB Solutions

Dell India has expanded its business to small and medium enterprises (SMES) in the country portfolio with the addition of PowerEdge servers, PowerVault and PowerConnect network storage solutions.

According society, PowerVault storage, PowerEdge servers and PowerConnect networking solutions to help small businesses to integrate their existing infrastructure to improve productivity.

The company also announced the worldwide availability of Dell OEM of Microsoft System Center Essentials 2010, enabling customers to consolidate servers, systems to proactively monitor and manage hardware, software and services through a single console.

PowerEdge R415 and R515 extend Dell portfolio of AMD in the country. The servers are equipped with Dell Server Deployment Pack, Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Lifecycle Controller.

R415 PowerEdge R515 also offers complete redundancy in power supplies, and "hot" hard drives. Additional features include interactive LCD display for easy system monitoring and R415 technologies.PowerEdge Energy Smart is a 2-socket, 1U server.

AMD Opteron 4100-series processor, it can run typical business applications such as file / print, email, web services, infrastructure and facilities for small virtualization.

PowerVault NX200 Storage:

PowerVault NX200 is a Network Attached Storage solution powered by Intel processors. Dell claims that configuration of NX200 is simple and only requires customers to choose the capacity needed. NX200 comes with 2GB of RAM.

Microsoft System Center Essentials 2010:

Designed for small businesses with fewer than 50 cases of the system of physical and virtual servers operating and 500 client devices, Microsoft System Center Essentials (SCE) 2010 manages virtualized and non virtualized server for Microsoft Hyper-V.

The SCE solution evaluates the physical environment and determines whether non-virtualized servers should be virtualized. If a server encounters a warning, not hardware, Dell Server Management Pack PRO PRO Consulting recommends corrective measures such as live migration of virtual machines to allow optimal management of virtual resources.
