I bought this vacuum because I read a positive review of Consumer Reports, and this is as good as they say, that is. I really like the small hand tools stored in the machine. Works like a charm vacuum cat hair from furniture. It 's a lot of suction and it works fine on the carpet in our living room and the excellent work of our stained concrete floors.

Great after I figured it out
It took me four tries to put the handle on it -- the vacuum didn't work the first three times -- and the instructions weren't that clear (I admit I'm mechanically-challenged). Other than that, I'm pleased with the vacuum and the self-propelled feature which makes it easy to use despite its weight. I chose it based on its rating by Consumer Reports, and it was offered at a good price. Shipment was fast and it arrived undamaged. It has strong suction and does a great job on my carpeted floors.
Efficient cleaner both on carpet and hard floors. Self-propel makes it easy to push. Only criticism so far is that it is noisier than my previous vacuum cleaner.
My mom needs a self propeled vacuum as she has arm trouble. As this was one of the few self-propelled units still being made, there was little choices. She got it from Best Buy two days ago. She has a short hair cat and the old vacuum had no trouble picking up the cat hair....This unit won't pick up any at all on any setting. The suction is pathetic.....You could do better with a drinking straw.
The Hoover Wind Tunnel Anniversary Upright Vacuum is a solid, versatile performer. It has plenty of power and plenty of tools. If I have one "complaint," it's the weight: this is a heavy vacuum. But I guess all the power and features constitute a havy vacuum.
This product arrived in perfect condition. It was very easy to assemble and worked perfectly the very first time we turned it on. It seems to be the best vacuum cleaner we have ever owned. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a quality vacuum cleaner.
