A Spooky Night Out
It is the spooky weekend everywhere you turn people seem to be embracing the fun idea of dressing up as something ghoulish. Never one to be different or be left behind, decided that I would go out and celebrate in the wonderful drunken world of town on a Saturday night.
Having met at friends started with a civilised meal, nothing heavy just enough to line the stomach, the girls then opened the first bottle. As the world's worst control freak I had already decided to drive and not drink. Watching the comedy world of Strictly and X factor the girls slowly got ready. (can it honestly take that long!!!!!) Finally 2 hours later they were ready, looking no more spooky than a normal night out. I decided to go gothic, as then I could get away with wearing my bomb boots. Giggling off we went into town making a spectacle of ourselves at every opportunity.
We started as four, slowly throughout the night we became more and more until there were about 20 of us having a ghoulish time. Even though I have a poorly back and hadn't consumed a single drop of alcohol I was still flying around the dance floor with the rest, doing more and more daft things as the night progressed. Who knew I had the energy or ability to bounce around like an 18 year old.
Finally the lights came up and the music went off. It took more energy to round up the girls then I had expelled all night thank goodness for the sensible boots. A trip via the kebab shop finished off the night, I was very well behaved and didn't eat anything, though expelled so much energy laughing as the girls tried to eat whilst being so inebriated. Eventually managed to bustle them home to coffee and biscuits before bed. Wonder how fragile they are going to be in the morning?
