One morning, I went to work as usual. I suddenly found that I did not bring my cell phone. Time was limited. So I hesitated that whether I should go back to take it or not. Only after several seconds, I resolutely want back to get it.
In fact, it does not matter if I did not carry a cell phone. I am not a leader. No one will come to me and no important things are waiting for me to handle. But if it is not in my pocket, I can not concentrate on working and I can not do anything well.
Not only me, but my colleagues around are also like that. It is not allowed to take one in class, but everybody does that. We put it on the podium. It seems that it serves as a clock but with which, I can have peace of mind. During a meeting, I will also taking it out from time to time. Some people even will hold it in their hands.
Those reflect the metal anxiety of modern people. Human beings are contradictory animals. On the one hand people like to be alone and do not like to be disturbed. On the other hand, they are fear of being abandoned by the group and always want to belong to a certain small groups, with whose help they can prove their power and protect themselves. Mobile phone is the best natural ways and means. Once the phone is not around, the subconscious will produce an illusion that members of the group are taking participate in useful activities, but they have been excluded.
From the other side, most people today have no plans to do things and there is a lot of changes everyday in the society. Even the law can be explained and changed arbitrarily. So everyone can not be sure to do anything and are fear of something changes but they do not know. Mobile phones have become indispensable "eyes" and "ears".
Of course, there are some people who have special needs with it, Such as the businessmen, officials in private activities, students falling in love, and so forth.
I heard that few Europeans will take mobile phones. European countries develop very fast. They have social benefits which can make them maintain a better standard of living than us who are in middle class even if they lost their jobs. Therefore, they are carefree. They advocate a leisure life and do not want to be bothered after work; they even do not want other people to find them. As for them, the phone may become a burden.
I have not been to Europe. So I do not know the real situation. But I have been to Japan, a developed country as well. The Japanese, like us, are inseparable from the phone. You can see a lot of people pressing their phones while walking in the street.
Although the economy of Japan develops very fast, Japan is still an island country lacking of natural resources. Moreover, natural disasters (earthquakes) frequently happen. Japanese always have a sense of crisis and are fear of being proceeded by others. Therefore, they work very hard. For the Japanese, the phone may be not only as a communication tool, but also plays an important role in appeasing sufferings
However, it is young people who can not live without a cell phone. Many elderly people do not take a cell phone on their hands. As for me, cell phone is one of my closest partners. I have two phones. One is bought from a local store and the other is a gift from my friends on http://www.dinodirect.com/bar-phone/. I will take one with me and leave the other one at home. Once one was broken, I could get it replaced quickly.
