Fabulous, Fun, Fiji
Fabulous, Fun, Fiji

A group of three hundred and thirty three pretty islands, Fiji is largely uninhabited. Situated 2000 kilometres north of New Zealand, the island is tropical marine, and stays warm for the majority of the year round. The warmer seasons experience quite a bit of rain, which gives it the verdant forests that you see on the majority of the islands. Fiji is one of the more developed pacific island economies, with natural resources including timber, fish, gold and copper. The culture drawers from Indian, Chinese and European traditions, and is rich with history and culture. They also have influences from Tonga and Samoa, both of which are nearby islands. It offers coconut palms, white sandy beaches and tropical waters that are unrivalled across the world. The people of the islands are warm and friendly, and welcome you as if you were one of them. Fiji is sustainable for eco tourism, offering eco friendly resorts across the islands that try not to impact on their beautiful surroundings. You can trek, swim or snorkel in the national reserves, and see the flora and fauna in its original habitats. For people who need an adrenalin rush, you can white water raft, sky dive and indulge yourself in lots of high octane activities, that are not for the faint hearted.

Go on a cruise, and see some turtles and other marine animals, or experience shark feeding first hand. Fiji is a Mecca for backpackers and honeymooners, but for anyone it provides an amazing backdrop to a beautiful holiday. If you are planning on taking a trip to Fiji this year, make sure that you have a valid passport and Travel Insurance documents.
