Life Unexpected is a television series that follows the life of a teenager Lux Clock with foster families for most of his life. Cate Cassidy gave birth to him while still a teenager, but believe him up for adoption as a better home can be found for them. Perhaps because of his heart problems was adopted as a baby, never Lux. After all his 15 years of bouncing back with a foster family to another in Portland, Oregon has moved, Lux decided it was time to take control of their lives and an emancipated minor. His journey through the legal labyrinth Lux led to his natural father, is 30-something Nate "Baze" Bazile, the bar has, lives like a frat-boy slacker experience with aging two roommates, and surprised that he has a daughter in her teens. Lux was also surprised when his mother reveals that Baze Cate Cassidy, a star in the local market for "Morning Madness" radio with its partners in the air and in real life boyfriend, Ryan Thomas.
