Blackberry 8520 Mobilephone Review - A Much Cheaper Blackberry With The Best Quality

Overview

The Blackberry Curve 8520 would be considered to be in complete sync with all the other Blackberries created but talking about features, compared to the rest of them, this particular one has some flaws. Don't get me wrong though the Blackberry Curve 8520 does almost everything a more expensive blackberry can do and what everybody expects for it to do like e-mailing and messaging but the feature alone isn't like the rest. It doesn't contain the chrome band that surrounds the rim of the phone which has become a trademark to blackberry devices but its design makes it more tolerable to take around.

Pros

It has a lightweight design and has an optical track button that is usually used for higher end phones instead of the track ball. Well, all those who experience the use of a blackberry before knows about its great messaging capability and because of the Blackberry OS that gathers all message in one folder, you can check all your new messages at once instead of jumping from place to place and now included with that is facebook messages. The keyboard feels more comfortable because of the spacing between the letters from one another making it pretty simple and quick to type in long emails and difficult internet addresses. It also includes multimedia playback buttons, so instead of having to go through a long process of having to get to your music with this new feature playing your music is only a press of a button away. The browser was good but nothing unexpected and the scheduling program was very good pertaining to the fact that the calendar was dominant with plenty of places to keep appointments and meetings.

Cons

The 2 megapixel camera the Blackberry 8520 possesses isn't the quality that I expected it to be . At full zoom, the detail of the target you are trying to capture is completely gone. It doesn't have a flash or a self portrait mirror and colors weren't as bright as they were supposed to be. Also you wouldn't be able to get turn by turn directions because it lacks GPS navigation and the battery is much smaller than other blackberry phones so you would be talking for 6 hours or less instead of 7 hours or more. The calling quality wasn't as good at all because the person's voice sounded muffled on my end whiles on their end I'm sounding slightly squeaky.

Conclusion

All together to me it's a good phone just with a few minor hiccups but it's not things that should make you not want to buy the phone.
