Conscious Mind and Subconscious Mind
Conscious Mind and Subconscious Mind

Our Conscious Mind may be telling us we can do anything we want, are capable of any achievement, in many instances our Subconscious Mind begs to differ. And as our lifeline to physical survival as well as our primary source of knowledge, we crave their acceptance and value their words and thus often take to heart both the rational good advice and irrational bad advice.

The messages we receive from the authority figures in our early life, could be our parents, teachers or others often have a forceful impact on our subconscious mind. And we bide our time waiting to reach maturity so we can do things our way. And then one day we are an adult and now we can make our own decisions.

Consciously we may think we do, but psychologists and researchers of the mind now tell us that 80% to 90% of our cognitive ability comes from our subconscious mind. Do you find yourself saying "Why did I do that. I know better". Do you find yourself following the same behavior patterns as a parent in ways you find go against what you really want in your life? Are you afraid of change, even when it's change you know is in your best interest?

Well, hypnosis can be a very useful tool in resolving conflicts between the conscious and subconscious mind. Hypnosis also helps you to free yourself from the limitations of your past. You may want to consider whether hypnosis might prove beneficial in helping you to get out of your own way and reach your full potential.

In much of the hypnosis literature and training I've been through, much emphasis is placed on congruence how well the behavior of the hypnotist supports and is supported by her words and body language. It makes sense, especially considering how much communication occurs on a subconscious level between humans.
