subject: How To Improve Your Photographs [print this page] Parents love photographing their child because its one way to capture the moment of their child while they are still young. Its one way to remember those gone days on how their child walk in the bus in their first day of school, first recitation, kindergarten graduation, first soccer team and a lot more. And these pictures can make them feel light and divert stress.
It can be more fun if your photographs will be more than just Okay photos. But this activity is not an easy thing to do because almost children go fast, impatient and may not listen to your posing instructions. Well to come up with great photos, here are fantastic tips I want to share that can improve your Okay pictures to Excellent pictures.
1. Focus. Focus on your childs eyes. Their eyes are the door to their soul and connect the viewer of the picture. Half-press the shutter to lock the focus and press the shutter slowly to prevent shaking the camera. But this takes practice and practice makes it perfect.
2. Get in close. The telephoto or zoom in lens is the obvious way to do to get close to your child. You can also move your feet. This can eliminate other distractions and background derangement.
3. Natural light. Always see the best light for your shoot. Soft shadows are always preferable. Avoid the harsh sun light if you are going to make picture outdoors.
4. Turn Off your camera flash. Flash can be remarkable for snapshots but so superb for portraits. This can make the red-eyed of your child. But this cant be a big problem since there is photo-editing software available.
5. Take extra attention at your background. Sometimes background can break the pictures so take extra attention with it.
6. Be hidden sometimes. A best picture comes from stolen shots or when your child is unconscious that you are shooting pictures. This can be done by using your zoom lens or just being quiet so they forgot that you are taking pictures. Allow tricks so they wont determine or feel what you are doing.
7. Capture unique expressions. Try to capture the tears, when they are serious, happy and other looks. Make it more fun by giving them something like books or toys or you can even tell a story.
8. Dressing up. For more fun, you can use props for the session like their treasured hats, flowers, their toys and a lot more.
9. Follow your child. Your child moves fast so always ready your camera to get their movements.
10. Keep pressing the camera shutter button. Keep taking photographs. It doesnt really matter how many photographs you make because digital camera can make a lot. Practice to make it perfect. Choose the better shoot of your child and print it.
Enjoy taking photographs with your kid!
