Reasons Why Your Partner is Losing Interest

As any relationship mature over time, there are some changes that cannot be avoided. These could appear in a matter of days, months, years or decades. Sometimes it is something to be grateful for. But sometimes it's the other way around. Whatever the case maybe, this change definitely needs to be accepted.

In the case where a loss of interest is felt by a partner, a decision needs to be done immediately. This is whether that decision is to save the relationship or to move on from the relationship. If luckily love still exists from both mates, it is so much better to talk things over. Honesty and understanding would go a long way and would help retrieve the loss heat of the relationship.

But there are a lot of factors that can contribute to a sudden or a slow death of interest from a partner. One may notice that he/she is no longer as passionate as she/he was before. Or it is very undeniable that the previous excitement that had been felt from the other mate seemed to have faded away. At this point, others would start to think that their partner is cheating on them. Some would sadly conclude that their relationship is about to be over.

However, sometimes loss of interest is not always due to love fading away. Most of the cases, it is due to an aged relationship. It is very normal that the intense intimacy of partners during their first few months of being together is not to last for the next year or so. The relationship would age, so as the need of each other. Maybe at first the need of the other partner is connection to another human being. And as this need becomes satisfied a new is to arise. It could be a more serious type of commitment or the likes. If the opposite mate is unable to satisfy the following need that have raised, then loss of interest from the other mate is expected to occur.

In some instances, it is due to a physical or emotion change of the other mate. The other partner may have turned from super hot to not so attractive. Weight and body figure to some people are very essential and can be a contributing factor for loss of interest. The inability of the other mate to maintain a good physique could decrease level of interest from the opposite mate.

In some occasion, it is not the physical change but the emotional stability that becomes the factor. The partner may not be as fun as he/she was before to be around. Stress, if not handled well, can destroy anyone's frame of mind and mood. And if this is not acted on right away, this might lead to the other partner feeling too exhausted or overwhelmed getting all the unwanted sentiments. In the end he/she would end up losing interest towards the other to get out of the emotional burden.

At times, even though it is painful to accept, the loss of interest by the other partner could be because of a love that had already passed away. The other mate could be modestly trying to send this cold signals to let the other one know that he/she simply wants to get out of the relationship. It is now up to the other mate to both confront and face his/her partner to clear everything. Or wholeheartedly accept that love doesn't always last forever and the best thing to do is to prepare him/herself for the moving on process. In this case; the next chapter of his/her life without the other mate.
