Since it is not necessarily convenient to carry a rag around and stop and wipe your hands off before shaking someone's hand, or worse wipe you hands on your skirt or pants, the person who suffers from sweaty palms and is looking for a long term way to cure sweaty hands will need some other methods to temporarily deal with this annoying condition.

There is a chemical called aluminum chloride and it is the main ingredient in antiperspirants. It can also be bought separately as a paint. Just use the same antiperspirant that works the best for you for the underarms on the palms of your hands in the morning as part of your routine. It is easy to keep a small bottle or can in your purse or desk, or in the glove compartment of your car, to apply routinely during the day. As you leave your desk for a meeting, a quick additional application can be added.

For a more potent application aluminum chloride paint can be used directly on the palms. You get the primary ingredient without the other stuff. It is just as easy to use and can be kept close by for routine applications during the course of a day.

This chemical does not necessarily cure sweaty hands, but is one of the ideas out there that might help relieve the symptoms while discovering the underlying causes and a more permanent cure.
