Following on from the monumental success of Mizuno's F50 fairway woods, one of the best sales in every golf shop, the Mizuno F60 fairway wood uses an ultra-thin Titanium crown to help produce a lower centre of gravity for higher, easier-to-hit shots from both the tee or grass.
Previously difficult to bond, the titanium crown is affixed to the high-tech precision stainless steel face and body through a patented new brazing process. The brazing process which uses a 3rd material to bond the two metals allows weight to be positioned very low in the clubhead. The technology replaces Mizuno's previous graphite crown / steel body combination which required a heavier bonding material.
Mizuno engineers found that by using this lightweight titanium crown, which is only 3% of the total weight of the club head, they could strategically reposition the COG to enable players to launch the ball with greater ease and increased control. In addition, the Mizuno F-60 fairway wood features Mizuno's CORTECH? face design, which utilizes three multi-thickness areas to ensure uniform face deflection and a thin responsive face to generate high initial ball velocity for increased distance and consistency.
The Mizuno F-60 fairway wood you can see in a golf shop are available in lofts of 13.5, 15.0, 16.5, 18.0, and 21.0 in right hand, and 15 and 18 in left hand. Mizuno's Exsar? FS3? graphite shaft (L, LT, R, S) is the standard graphite shaft and the exclusive Mizuno/Golf Pride? M-21 58 is the standard grip.
