Forgiveness and Wonderful MX-200 Irons
Forgiveness and Wonderful MX-200 Irons

Mizuno makes two lines of clubs. The MP line for low cappers and professionals, and the MX line for the rest of us. Both lines swept theawards for irons this year, and because of their craftsmanship and versatility, more and more of this MX stuff is showing up on tour. These are a real breakthrough for Mizuno MX-200 Irons

After hitting these I had to really remind myself that we are in the midst of a recession, and that my credit card would explode if we put it in the cash register and tried to buy them. Fortunately saner people were about the premises that could dragme away kicking and screaming like a 2 year old who just had to have the latest toy stripped from his hands and put back on the shelf. Usually I make my differences with the mass golf media very apparent, but these things deserve all the awards and kudos they are getting.

The MX-200 irons with patented Y-Tune Technology deliver forgiving, game improvement irons performance with the added benefit of legendary Grain Flow Forged feel. Y-Tune Technology successfully extends and expands the sweet area of the clubface out towards the toe to deliver amazing forgiveness on mis-hits. Through the use of a reengineered external power bar and inner Y-shaped cavity pad, the MX-200 Iron is tuned for unbelievable forgiveness, great trajectory, and amazing feels. A slightly larger clubhead further enhances the playability of the MX-200s and a super-deep, milled pocket cavity creates a lower, deeper center of gravity for an easy, high launch. The MX-200 irons with Y-Tune Technology offer the perfect combination of game improvement forgiveness and soft, solid, and consistent forged feel.

Finally there really is a game improvement golf clubs that the mid capper can grow with, and may even choose to keep once he hits low capper status. It wouldn't surprise me to see scratch players in search of forgiveness sporting these babies in their bag. I do believe I have found my next set of irons once I wear out the current set in my bag.
