In this study, the drug was given in a dose of 10-20 mgs orally once a week in conjunction with folic acid supplements taken five days a week. All of the patients responded positively to the drug. The first sign of healing showed after three to seven weeks. Six of the nine patients showed complete remission after three months of treatment, and three patients showed major improvement. However, one of the patient's conditions became worse after achieving a complete response and the drug was removed completely. No serious side effects were recorded during the study.
The use of this drug may cause side effects. If you feel any dizziness, headaches, drowsiness, sore gums, red eyes, loss of hair or appetite, consult with your doctor.
