Konica Minolta DiALTA CF2002 Economic Color Office Printer / Copier

Utilizing a new polymerized toner system that not only reduces usage, thereby cutting costs, but can create more detailed fine imagery and lines, the Konica Minolta DiALTA CF2002 is one of the most economical solutions for an office that requires all the bells and whistles of a full sized color copy machine, but with reduced cost and overall volume.

The Konica Minolta DiALTA CF2002 was made with the small office in mind, and is not only compact in size when compared to industrial units, but affordable in price as well. This color copy machine / office printer can execute a monochrome, letter sized print speed of up to 31 pages per minute, while color print speed tops out at around 20 pages per minute. A3 sized paper is also compatible with the unit, with speeds up to 10 pages per minute in color and 15 pages per minute in black and white.

Maximum print resolution is selectable up to 600 x 1800 dots per inch, while copy resolution falls behind to only 600 x 600 dots per inch. The copying system itself is of a tandem type, using indirect electrophotographic technology. Times for first copy is fairly fast, at 7.9 seconds for monochrome and 14.1 seconds for color, while actual copy speeds match print specifications.

Standard copy memory comes very high with 256 MBs included, which can then be upgraded even higher to 512 MBs. A 10 GB hard drive also comes standard with the unit for long term storage of important or frequently used data, making the Konica Minolta DiALTA CF2002 an impressive stand alone copier even when PC connectivity is not required.

Multiple copies from a single source can be made up to 999 at once, and an interruption mode allows for cancellation of unwanted copy projects. The copy machine comes complete with a full range of helpful features including color adjustment, test print, creative functions, a booklet creation mode, department control, OHP interleaving, and a photo mode. Using the built in color touch screen to navigate though menus, input can be manipulated and adjusted directly from the machine, without ever linking to a PC.

Print memory is not shared with copy memory in the Konica Minolta DiALTA CF2002, and comes standard at either 160 MBs or 256 MBs depending on if a CN3101e or CN3102e controller is used. As a medium volume printer, the unit's maximum monthly duty cycle is a very conservative 50,000 sheets, but a high recommended monthly duty of 25,000 sheets almost makes up for it. Lifetime printing is listed at 800K prints or 5 years, though most businesses choose to keep an investment such as a copy machine on as long as possible.

If the basic hardware of the Konica Minolta DiALTA CF2002 is not quite enough for your small office's needs, various finishers are available for purchase, including hardware that can staple, sort, hole punch, fold, and create booklets mechanically, further maximizing the true versatility and intelligent design of this color printer.
