1. Age With age, the body gets more prone various conditions like blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes, joint pain, poor vision, poor memory, etc. Therefore, you need more of omega3 fats to cope up with these health conditions.

A child need less omeag3 as in comparison to a senior person.

2. Health condition Omega3 fats are of help in avoiding as well as treating various health conditions like Autism, Dyslexia, Psoriasis, Arthritis, etc. This means that an out of condition person for sure needs more of these fats to fight against the ailments as in comparison to a healthy person.

3. Quality of oil This is the most important factor that decides the amount of fish oil you should take daily. Studies have proven that DHA is the most vital amongst all forms of omega3 and most of the benefits of omega3 fats are because of DHA. Therefore, to live a healthy and ail-free life, attaining high DHA levels are of utmost importance.

If your oil contains high DHA percentage, you should take less number of soft gels and vice-versa.

Experts recommend that a healthy adult needs daily 500mg of DHA and a healthy child needs 250mg of DHA every day.

If you ask my fish oil dosage, it is 2 soft gels every day and my oil contains 280mg of DHA per 1000mg of oil. In addition, I give my children 1 soft gel daily of same oil for an ail free long life.
