The payment received is part of the advertising amount paid to have the ad placed on the website. the ad is part of Adwords. The payment that the advertiser pays is used to pay for the Google Adwords ads. Google has completely dominated internet marketing, by producing this effective system. Though it sounds complicated, on sites like Wordpress, its only a matter of selecting the Adsense widget, and providing Google with the information of where to send the payment. It is beneficial and works.
