Guitar course that can teach me blues licks

Everyone who starts learning guitar is quite impatient and wants to play like a pro in just few days and want to show off and even perform on stage. This is highly impossible. It takes several months just to know this instrument properly. And then it will easily take 2 to 3 years minimum to play the instrument properly, that too with consistent practice and determination. Many are of the misconception that if you get hold of any random guitar lesson from the internet you can master the instrument in a matter of days. You need to remember one thing that learning guitar is not like learning to cook a recipe in your kitchen. It entails structured and step by step learning, taught by a highly trained guitar tutor who has years of teaching and performing experience.

First, I will share my experience with you. I was searching for a good guitar tutor online who can help me to advance my level from an intermediate level guitarist to a more advanced player. But sadly every site that I checked out had only superficial stuff as the course material with no audio, no notation and without explaining the why's and how's of the concepts. And most importantly you know very little about who your tutor is, his experience in teaching, playing experience and so on.

Guitar teaching is not just explaining you how to hold the guitar or plectrum and showing you the right sitting position. All of these are trivial things that any basic guitar learning site would show you. There are many concepts that are highly critical for your success as a complete and matured guitarist. May be you want to just learn it for fun and play at home and do not want to make it your career. But still, if you are unaware of the critical concepts you will soon get de-moralized and will quit playing it.

I will give you an example of a critical concept that is really the mother of all concepts, if you are learning any western musical instrument. And that is notations. If you do not know how to read and write notations you are having a big handicap in your journey ahead with guitar. Because only when you learn to read notations, you can learn about time intervals between notes, tempo, tones, semitones and many other important aspects of music. If you do not know how to read staff notations you are left behind when it comes to learning and mastering scales and chords.

And I can confidently say that no random site or video can teach you this. You either have to enroll with a tutor or with a decent online guitar course which is the most affordable thing to do. And that's what I did. And let me tell you I am quite satisfied with the tutors, who are true professionals and most importantly I am able to directly interact with them and with other fellow guitarists, share our success stories, failures and also clear our doubts and queries.

So if you are looking for a strong foundation in guitar I would not recommend you to learn from random videos and lessons that you find online. Because you really don't have much interaction with your tutor, and wouldn't know what his expertise level is or teaching experience is. All of these aspects counts a lot when it comes to mastering an instrument. And the saddest part is that you wouldn't have anyone to depend on to solve your doubts and queries.

But at the same time if you are with a good guitar course, they will not only give you a solid foundation, but also train you in various genres and styles of guitar and will be able to play anything from blues guitar licks to crunchy heavy metal riffs in the fastest possible time.
