Lake Worth Toyota Prius dealerships instill quality into their hybrids

Toyota has always aimed for quality vehicles and even with the recent of several million the company maintained its standards and pledged to make things right with Toyota customers. That pledge to quality has continued with the new Toyota Auris Hybrid and Lake Worth Toyota Prius dealers are proud of this new green car.

Producing quality vehicles is a top priority at Toyota and Mick Lalley, Toyota Motors United Kingdom General Manager Quality Assurance stated, "We operate on three fundamental quality principles that the customer decides the quality standard, quality is built in at every stage of the manufacturing process, and we kaizen, or continuously improve, those processed every day." When visiting a Lake Worth car dealer this Toyota quality will be evident. The quality control begins in the design studio and runs through to full production, where if at any time an assembly line employee detects a problem or defect they alert the team by pulling a cord that runs through the line and halting production until the issue is resolved.

In order to successfully manufacture this hybrid vehicle, new testing procedures were put into place to handle high voltage batteries and their connections and to fine-tune the performance of the card in difference driving modes. Lake Worth Toyota Prius customers should be assured that the testing is thorough and with the way the process works, defects can usually be caught before the product is completed.

Lalley continues, "We ensure the vehicle is driven in every environment the customer might face. It means we can detect any problem and . . . fix it before it becomes an issue for the customer." Since the Auris Hybrid is silent in electric mode, technicians can detect any noise that shouldn't be there and address it promptly before it goes into production. Lalley emphasized that not only does Toyota work for quality within its production facilities but also works with its systems and components suppliers, visiting their facilities and making sure quality is up to Toyota standards on all fronts.

Lake Worth car dealers are happy to be part of a company with such an intense focus on quality. The Auris will be on sale in July in the UK, but no word on equivalent sales in the United States yet. The good news is that when the Auris, or its stateside equivalent, are finally introduced here the quality control methods will be a finely-tuned machine and quality assurance will be unquestionable. Toyota has done well with maintaining and even improving the quality controls on the Prius, so a new hybrid will be an even smoother production.
