The new Sony Xperia X8 is HOT! And it's heading to a cellphone network near you this Summer. The Sony Xperia X8 hits in Sonys cellphone range in between the X10 and X10 Mini. Sony have designed Xperia X8 so that it offers us the best of both worlds.
Over the past few months we have seen a several un-official photos of the much rumoured Xperia X8 and it's had people divided as to whether it was real or not. Well wonder no more, as Sony have official announced the X8 and it's expected to hit our shores sometime towards the end of this summer.
Now we have all three sizes, the X10 is Sony's monster 4 inch screened flagship Android handset, it's little brother the X10 Mini with 2.5 inch screen and now the one in the middle, the X8 with a 3 inch screen.
The Xperia X8 comes packed with tech, a 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, a 600 MHz processor and an interchangeable back cover. It runs Android 1.6 but with Sony's own custom skin so it'll look pretty much the same as the X10 just with a few less features.
If you're looking for a more affordable version of the X10 or find it a little on the large side, then this will likely be the mobile phone for you. It's expected to cost around 200-250 unsubsidised, which with naturally decrease when purchased as part of a 2 year contract, we'll let you know more details on pricing as and when UK prices are announced.One thing that did disappoint us with this mobile phone was that with all the Sony Camera expertise they have only managed to hit a tiny 3.2 megapixel camera in the X8.
