New Car Dilemmas

So, you've decided that the rusty old banger has to go, and settled on the fact that you will be making another big purchase. But there are so many questions that need answering. What sort of car? What colour? Do you fancy silver, or black, or something brighter? Will you get manual, or automatic? Have you made sure that user reviews of the car are good?

Once you have narrowed down all the choices above, you are then left with the aesthetics. What sort of interior will you choose? Will you opt for the CD player and air conditioning, or be content with winding the windows down and listening to the radio?

A choice that you will have to make is whether to opt for leather or cloth seats. On the one hand, leather is great to look at, but cloth seats are far more agreeable on your skin than burning leather in the heat of the day. Cloth is also much cheaper than its leather alternative, and if you have children, it is much more comfortable for them. Kids normally fall asleep in the car, especially on long journeys, so comfort is key if the aim is to keep them quiet.

Leather, on the other hand, can increase the value in some cars, for example the Austin model. Its really easy to clean, as liquid does not absorb easily, and you can buy leather treatments to keep it smelling and looking really clean.

Whatever interior you choose for your car, make sure you switch your Car Insurance policy. Driving without valid insurance is an offence.
