We hear all the terms like Work from Home, make money online, MLM's, etc., but as someone just trying to feel there way around to see what is out there it will make your head explode. If you were like I was, just looking for an alternate income to subliment my primary job income, the sheer quantity of so called "opportunities" out there is staggering. Then input the scam factor, and 90% will just give up after a few hours infront of the pc. The truth is, I came so close to giving up so many times, and that was just while I was looking!!! So why would anyone follow through with something that sounds this painful?
Most would think the most obvious answerMoney! Well I would disagree somewhat, even though I thought the same thing when I was getting started. And yes the money is great, but I have found the freedom to set my own schedule to be an amazing asset. I still have to work hard, but am able to do in smaller timespans when I want to. Like today, the sun is out, is really nice so after this article and some blog replies I intend to go out by the pool for a while, then come back in and work some more this afternoon. I would have never even had a pool working my graveyard supervising job, much less had the time to enjoy it if I did. But the freedom of having the ability to utilize my time as I see fit is a major plus in my mind.
Let me give an example in my life where I have noticed big time changes.
I have always liked to travel, but never been able to do anything other than the 3-4 days at the beach trip once a year. Why? Well if I had the time it was because I wasn't working as much at my job, which meant I didn't have the money. If I had some extra money for a real vacation, I didn't have the time because I was working all the time. I am sure most of you are shaking your head in agreement by now.
In the past couple of months alone I have took several vacations, most have been the spur of the moment, throw a bag in a car and just go somewhere for a few days. My wife and I are leaving this weekend on a cruise, the first trip of this kind in my life and we are both pumped. I am also excited about taking my wife on her first airplane flight this fall. The possibilities are endless, and I can continue to work, if you want to call it that, by just taking my laptop with me.
So in closing I would highly recommend that you not give up on your search, find the right fit in a community, education resource, marketing platform like I did and continue to push forward. By the way, my supplimental income that I had in mind when I started creating my opportunity, well it is my sole source of income now. Now I have the money AND the time to enjoy life.
