Excessive Armpit Sweating
Excessive Armpit Sweating

Sweating or perspiration is a completely natural response of a human body to regulate body temperature. There are two main situations for sweating to occur, the first situation is during an increased body (when we are physically active, when we have temperature) or outside temperature and the second situation is during an emotional stress.

None of this is a problem, at least not up untill the moment the sweating becomes excessive specially in someones armpits. At that point there are several things that make it highly unpleasant. One of the first is a really bad odor, but which can to some point be controled with deodorants and other products, another thing that most people would like to avoid are sweaty clothes. Clothes that are wet on certain places look and feel bad, just imagine yourself wearing the same underwear or shirt throughout the whole day after a nice morning jog. Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) can come to a point that even usual, daily routines like shaking hands with someone else can become unpleasant.

Because of the reasons listed above and many others it is a good idea to treat the condition. The usual medications that are used to control sweating are aluminium chloride, which can be found in many antiperspirants, Botox (yes the same one that Holywood movie stars use), which disables the sweat glands and antidepressants, if of course anxiety or anxious personality is the cause. There are also many successful surgical procedures. One of the most used ones is sweat gland suction (adopted from liposuction) where about 30% are removed. Another widely used is ETS, which has an 80% success rate.
