How the Internet is Open to Anyone at Any Age

Almost anywhere you go in the world, you see younger people sitting and pounding away at their computers. They are either sitting in a Starbucks, sipping a fancy drink working on their computers, or on an airplane, or just about anywhere. The internet has opened up the Whole World.

Being Baby Boomers, my wife and I could not afford to let the world pass us by. I do not care what you do... either you are in business for yourself or have a J.O.B. (Just Over Broke), you can not succeed unless you are plugged into the internet.

Last year, my wife and I knew we needed to find a way to earn more money to pay our bills. At 66 years old, looking for a J.O.B. was out of the question. Why would anyone hire me when they could hire a younger person with computer skills? Because the internet does not know your age, there are no boundaries and anyone at any age can learn how to use the internet.

Because of the better computer technology, it has become much more user-friendly for even us baby-boomers to learn. All you have to do is spend time on your computer and not be fearful of it. The more time you spend, the more confident you will become and in no time, you can also be comfortable using your computer to become part of the Whole World.

Even if you consider yourself old, today you are not old unless you make yourself old. I know a 74 -year old retired surgeon who lost everything, had zero computer skills, and turned to the internet, learned a way to have a new career and today he is on the way to getting whatever he had lost back, thanks to the internet.

Tough times do not last long, but tough people do.

Remember to do something good and positive today for someone in the knowing they can never repay you and watch the world change one person at a time.
