Common Newbie Internet Business Building Mistakes

Over the last decade, the clich that just 5% of Internet marketers make all the money has been found floating around the Internet. Unfortunately, there is actually a lot of truth attached to this opinion. Many newbies are left running around in circles trying to find the right way to make money online, while the people who were successful last year are the same ones that are going to be successful this year, and will probably be the most successful next year as well.Once you sit down and actually compare a newbie to an internet marketing veteran, the difference are glaring. Fortunately, the difference has nothing to do with the details of internet marketing. If you are trying to make money online, or trying to build an online business, there are a number of basic characteristics that you can pick up from successful online veterans. The first difference that separates newbies from veterans is that newbies jump from program to program, whereas veterans know what they want to do and stick with it until it works. People who are new to making money online will often jump to a different program every few weeks because they did not instantly strike it rich. Veterans understand that there is no fool-proof system that will make them rich quick, they choose proven strategies and then invest the time and effort that it requires to succeed.Another difference between newbies and veterans is the business mentality. One of the hardest things for newbies to understand about building an online business, is that it IS a business. Many newbies get drawn into the dream of "more time with family, more free time, extra money, and other common promises", however they do not understand that they still must put in a hard days work to succeed, especially in the beginning.Just like every other business, both online and off line, a certain level of dedication and effort is required in order to succeed. In fact, there are probably going to be some failures early on as well. Also, while online business veterans may only work 4 hours a day, you can bet that they put in a lot more hours in the beginning than they do now. Also, they work harder in those 4 hours than most people do in 10 hours.A final difference between newbies trying to make money online and veterans who have already built an online business, is that veterans are constantly taking some type of action to improve their business. The number one trap that most newbies fall into is that they never actually try out a program before abandoning it. In short, they don't take action (except to run away). Many newbies are continually "learning", which is great, but they never actually DO anything, which is not so great. Veterans are absolutely always being proactive. They know that the more that they do, the more that they can make. They will make mistakes, just like everyone else, but they quickly find out what it is, fix it, and continual down the path to success. If you are trying to build an online business? If so, make sure that you follow the example that online business veterans provide. Do not get wrapped up in learning to the extent that you never take action. Do not think that working only 2 hours a day is going to mean big profits. Do not jump from program to program every week.Take a look at the play-book that has been drawn up by the people who are already succeeding. Always be working on your business, when you work - work hard, and treat your online business like an actual business that you need to market, not a hobby.
