This is my first projector, so you really can not too technical analysis. However, here are the things that I noticed in the short time I've had so far ...
As others have said, is brilliant. I can use it in the middle of the day with the blinds open and see very well. From what I understand, the image gradually get dimmer hours, but for now is great.
'S very easy to use. I never used one before and was able to use right out of the box. Connected to my ps3 or laptop, and lights. Automatically detects and easily.
The image can be very high. So far I have used an image to generate 8 meters wide, with a good image. The projector is 14 feet from the wall. Of course, bigger than an LCD or plasma!
I bought this projector for a short-term movement. I do not want to send a TV and a projector if you can take home with me in a few months of purchase. It 's easy to carry, and it is a case (unlike some others. I also took in getting the Optoma hd66 is the same price and I do not think it was a matter and ViewSonic had a bit' more features ).
3D I did not use a 3-D glasses are very expensive, but one day I hope to try it.
If the bulb lasts 4000-6000 hours, I'll be happy. Do many years of use, then it's time to upgrade technology (flying these days)! Or you can replace the lamp, although I have not found any bulbs that are online. I can use the ECO mode, but also, and the difference in ECO mode and the level is barely perceptible. ECO mode is plenty bright enough.
UPDATE: Make sure that the contrast settings to check, if you do not see a proper display. The contrast setting automatically changes to 0 for the HDMI input in a certain way and I almost back to the idea had become defective (only seen the blank screen). I do not know why it was changed, but be sure to check the image seems to be, but not interchangeable.

This projector represents remarkable value for money
A nice and very bright picture.
The only downside I can see is that the throw distance is very short and the image size is not very adjustable due to the lens being only X 1.2. This means that there isn't much choice in the placement of the projector for a given image size. However, at the price point of this projector it's impossible to complain about a minor nuisance like this.

As a visual/digital artist I will get a lot of great use out of this projector for my projects. The projector has a great image quality-a crisp, bright, hi rez image.
It is rather easy to use. It had excellent wide screen picture (very bright & clear). The speakers were good compared to others in this price range, but they got a little distorted when the volume was up high. That meant that at some times the sound was too quiet. Overall they were good. I would recommend it for other people--we are using this at a school for presentations to parents.
3000 lumens gives amazing brightness with a projection on my wall about 8-10ft across. HDMI input so you don't have to worry about signal quality issues from analog VGA cables. Web browsing is crisp and easily readable from across the room, and movies look great also. Lots of features in the menu system including digital keystone correction, detailed color controls, captioning, customizable start-up splash-screen and more. And the default settings are good, right out of the box.
The price is very competitive, many projectors on the market are years-old models, not this one. I was shopping for a projector for months and consistently dissatisfied with the price vs features until I saw this model and immediately pre-ordered it.
The fan noise is present but very reasonable, during any movie watching one will quickly forget that it is there. Eco mode is just a small step less bright than full on, so I am using that most of the time since its plenty bright and gives a longer lamp life and slightly less noise.
It comes with a carrying case also, a nice touch.
No idea about the 3D performance yet, as I don't have anything that generates 3D content.
