Care Tips To Get The Most Use Out Of Your Portable Displays

You pick your designs with care. You select the best trade show table top displays for your needs. You ensure that every detail is considered and that the end result is great. However, if you stop there and don't continue to care for your new trade show displays after purchasing them, you won't see the best return on your investment in the long run. Even the best portable displays require some care from you to ensure that they last as long as possible.

Tip #1: Keep Your Portable Displays Clean

This simple tip is surprisingly easy to overlook or neglect. If your exhibit isn't staying clean, then you run the risk of having it become stained or weakened over time. If your exhibit is covered in Velcro-like material, then it is somewhat more protected due to the components of the Velcro. But even so, it's important to keep such exhibits covered to avoid dust buildup. Getting dust into the Velcro gives it a permanent dusty appearance which is virtually impossible to remove.

If you utilize pop-up trade show displays or another type of non-interchangeable exhibit, keeping it clean is even more important. Whenever possible, you should keep the actual surface protected. When you cannot easily replace the images and text, ensuring that the originals are still crisp and clean is of paramount importance. Unless your exhibit is particularly vulnerable to water, you should be able to wipe it down with a damp cloth. If they become more severely stained, contact the company that made them and ask about cleaning options. The details will vary depending upon the exact specifications of your individual trade show table top displays.

Tip #2: Store Your Trade Show Table Top Displays Carefully

Over time, even the best booths can warp if left in an improper situation. While this is not a problem for most pop-up booths or other metal-based exhibits, it is a significant concern for flat panel styles. If you lean them on edge and leave them there for several months, you may find that the entire panel has become warped under its own weight. Yet at the same time, if you leave panel exhibits lying flat and unintentionally stack things atop them, you could find them bent as well.

To keep your investment protected, your best options are to either purchase a protective case or to choose the storage location very carefully. A good protective case will need to have a hard shell capable of completely shielding the actual exhibit stored within. If you have such a case, then you can store the exhibit laying flat and stack anything atop it without concern. If you don't want a case, your best choice is to simply identify a storage location for your banner and ensure that nothing is put on top of it. A warped design may still be usable, but it won't have the same appeal that it originally possessed.

Tip #3: Know When To Replace Your Stand

Properly handled exhibits have a very long lifespan. Even the best construction and most meticulous care can't prevent it from eventually requiring replacement. Before every convention, examine your materials to ensure that they all look professional and represent your company as well as possible. If they have begun to fade or look old, the time has come to consider replacement.
