Garage Storage Systems and Products

Garages are usually used for a great deal more than as a safe place to park the car overnight. They are used to hold all the excess stuff that cannot fit into the house. This could be sporting equipment or toys and furniture that the children have grown out of. It could be old furniture that has been replaced, cleaning equipment, hobby supplies and old paint.

So the best garage is one that all this stuff can fit into without pushing your car out to the kerb. Garage storage solutions such as garage shelving and garage storage cabinets may do the trick. Garage shelves are an excellent choice for all those smaller items because they do not take up floor space. They can be fixed up above head height so they do not interfere with parking the car and getting out. So you can still retain plenty of space on your garage flooring for the car and children's bicycles.

But garage storage systems can also be provided by using garage cabinets which will help to keep items locked away out of sight and free of dust. Other good garage storage ideas are sturdy hooks of various sizes up on the walls that you can hang stuff from. Even bicycles can be hung on a hook if it is the right kind.

Getting all that paraphernalia up onto the walls will free up more garage flooring space and there are variety of garage floor tiles available in market. You will then be able to park the car easily and still have enough room to get out and carry the groceries inside. And you will not have to walk sideways to dodge all the other stuff that is parked on the floor.

You'll be surprised at the amount of space that is available in your garage when you use some storage solutions and take advantage of all that space up high. If your garage ceiling is high enough you may even be able to put a false ceiling in half of it with a ladder for access. That way you will be able to walk around up there to pack and store your extras.
