subject: What Forms Attitude [print this page] What Forms Attitude What Forms Attitude
Ever since I was a child, I had my own dream of the lifestyle I want to have when I grow up. However, as I matured, I realized that I am not living it right now. As I grow and keep learning, I discover what are the factors affecting my results. What are the things I did in the past that gave me unwanted results?
I want to create a different lifestyle so when I look back on my results, they are the results I produced, and were determined by the lifestyle that I had. But I want to produce more results, so then I got to look at my actions. What did I do to produce these results? Did I do enough? Did I do the right things? Did I do things efficiently with productivity rather than doing fruitless things?
I understand that if I want to create better results with my actions, I need to look at myattitude. The attitude is going to make the difference of how my actions deliver results. And if I want to know how to improve my attitude, then I need to go a step further and that's where the "ME" factor comes in. It's the continuum of creating a lifestyle.
I want to buy a home for my aging parents, build a bigger church in our province, build an entrepreneurial school, travel around the world, have my own charity institutions, and more. If I want to deliver that sort of lifestyle, then I'm going to have to produce results, which means I'm going to have to take some action by working on my attitude, and focusing on ME.
I learned that the following forms ourattitude:
1.Information
It could be what we watch on TV, conversation in the office, in the hallway, or with friends, family, and what we read. The only way to clean our mind so that our attitude improves is to run fresh water into our cup by feeding it with things that will make us grow on a regular basis. We have to be constantly careful about the dirt that's going in versus how much fresh water we're running through it. It's important that when we get up in the morning, before we start our daily activities at work or at home, for at least 15 minutes, we should feed our mind with valuable information by just listening, watching, or reading something positive. It will shift ourattitude for the entire day. Every day, if we make this a ritual, will determine the outcome we want to produce that day.
2.Environment
What is the environment that you're operating in? What is the structure of how and where you are performing from? The place you live. Consider your environment, and make sure your environment supports the kind of production you want to put out.
3.Associations
This is a big deal. This is the people that we are surrounded by. It is stated and verified statistically that you become the combined average of the five people you hang around the most. Right now, think of the 5 people you spend the most time with in your life in terms of a friend or a group of peers. Then you will find out that you will have the combined average of their income, their health, their relationships, and the combined average of all the results that you're producing in your life.
Associations influence tremendously. I realized this just recently so I made a conscious effort of knowing who I want to spend time with. You don't have to get rid of your previous friends, you just need to spend less time with them and attract those who are not in your life that will help step you up a bit.
This is why I chose to be part of a business community, attend the Rich Dad Education workshops, Cashflow Gathering, Millionaire Mind Gathering, Wealth Courses, and a lot more which I believe will help me grow. Because the people you'll meet in these types of organizations or workshops/seminars will have a tremendous impact in your life. They will bring you to the next level because as we watch, witness, interact, share, and commune with them, the influence on your relationship will be profound.
Change is uncomfortable but growth can be found outside our comfort zone. Be ready to be uncomfortable and take action NOW.
