The VW Jetta is the firm's small family car which fits between the Golf and the Passat, historically the Jetta has been known as the Bora and Vento. The Jetta is a Golf with a saloon style boot added to the rear. The 2011 Jetta however will be independent of the Golf with new body panels and a longer wheel base.

The Jetta is priced to compete with the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, the 1.4 TSI costs 17,090 while the top of the range 2.0 TDI CR Sport costs 21,780.
