The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is a famous Wi-Fi enabled 3G cell phone which is offered in United States by AT&T and T-Mobile. It has a very stylish and beautiful HVGA screen, full QWERTY keypad, track pad, expandable microSD memory card slot and 3.2 megapixel camera which can be auto-focused.
BUILD & DESIGN
The new BlackBerry Bold is very amazing to look at, it's a bit smaller than the previous BlackBerry 8900 'Javelin'. When we put beside the original Bold and new Bold we can realize the big size of first one.
Moreover, there are some slight changes in the design, such as rubber buttons on the side of the cell phone, a redesigned battery cover and a new chrome finish.
In this version camera has been upgraded to 3.2 megapixels from 2 mega pixels. Yes it is true that today where there are camera phones with 5,8 and 12 megapixels this may not seems great but with this camera you can still make decent size image which can easily be printed on paper or anything else, emailed or uploaded to your favorite social media site. In short it looks more integrated than before.
SCREEN
The screen of BlackBerry bold is simply amazing. When people like iphone's screen, then Rim took the same resolution for Bold with a smaller and richer screen. In Bold2 same thing has been done but with more detailed and smooth graphics and pictures.
As mentioned before the screen is smaller than previous version so think twice if your primary concern is web browsing.
KEYBOARD & TRACKPAD
Due to small size of cell phone keyboard has been scaled down, though usability is not affected. If you have not used Bold before you will be pleasantly surprised with the keypad of Bold2 but if you have used BlackBerry Bold before you will only notice some slight changes in it. There are also 2 programmable key for your convenience on each side.
The track pad is also a great feature and is very easy to use, it has almost no learning curve. If you like it on BlackBerry Curve 8520 you will love it on BlackBerry Bold2.
