Zenzuu - What is Your Opinion?
Zenzuu - What is Your Opinion?

As a person who blogs to help the new home business owner or new website owner, I do a lot of traveling around the internet running down leads and rumours. I hear things in forums and from other sites about ways of making money and new ways of doing this or that. In 99.9 percent of the cases, red flags get get raised. I have gotten to the point where I can smell when something does sound right.

Well, this past weekend I was in one of the blog directories and I came across this new social networking site called Zenzuu.com. They just launched on August 1st of this year. ZenZuu is a next generation social networking platform that lets you create a profile similar to other social networks, except they say their leading edge technology allows you to make money by signing up your friends and receive revenue sharing. In other words, like a pryamid scheme (red flag), you sign up and then get friends to sign up under you. When you sign up, Zenzuu shares part of its ad revenue, an income stream of most giant social networks, like MySpace. As the friends under you sign up more people, you get part of their share to.

Now, I suppose if someone had the idea of starting a new "MySpace" and wanted to compete on that level then they would need to come up with some grand idea to get people to join. Otherwise, they would be relegated to the basement where all those other thousands of money-less, dinky little social networking sites live. At the time of this writing, MySpace has over 270 million users. That's big! That's twice the size of Canada.

Anyway, you can only sign up to Zenzuu when sponsored. You need to be invited by an existing member(red flag). When you get to the site you will be presented with videos that show you the advantages of signing up. These videos just vomit red flags. One has the typical scene of beautiful girls riding in a Rolls-Royce down some street that looks like Beverly Hills. They try to explain the positives of joining from a swimming pool of a very expensive home. Another has this guy named Joe Risk (Ironic name - Dr Freud needed at Zenzuu, Dr Freud needed at Zenzuu), who comes off like a used car salesman and seems that he is about to go into the schtick of a WWE wrestler. His job is also to explain the benefits of joining. One weird thing is that you have to promise you will log into the site 30 times a month. Maybe that caveat is what they are promising their advertisers?

Now here is my dilemma. When smelling out a scam I am pretty good and the Zenzu approach of getting users to sign up just screams red flag. But my problem is this. Everything is free. They never ask for money. They never ask for a credit card. Whenever I see a scam, the first sign is when "they" ask for a down payment or a small one time fee for some software, ebook or the inner workings of their new system. However, Zenzuu never asks for anything. It is totally free. I don't know what to make of it. Maybe they just suck at marketing and don't realize their video's are total nonsense. Maybe their idea is good?

Anyways, I had Jimmy sign up to check it out and he was instantly hit with some fellow member's online business idea in his in box. It was a definitly spam. But he just let it go. I later found out that the doink signed under my name. Even Jim wasnt sure what to make of it and threw me under the internet crazy idea bus. This idea of Zenzuu's has me so puzzled. What do you guys think? Have you heard of it? Do you belong?

If you wanna check it out and then get back to comment, feel free because I am really interested. Since you have to know
