Your Health Who cares about it?
Your Health Who cares about it?

The world is becoming fatter! Only in US, recent surveys revealed that more than 70% of the adult people are overweight or obese. In UK it's worse. If you are lean and healthy reading this blog, rest assured that you are of the minority. It has now become of the norm that people are out of shape, overweight, and suffering with diseases like diabetes, cardio-vascular and cancer. Well, that's SAD. Lose weight and get healthier is the talk of the day for millions across the globe.

One of the reasons is that our food supply has become more heavily processed, refined, filled with chemicals, and modified from its natural state over the years. Everybody pretends (yes I did mention "pretend") that they don't have time in this supposedly fast-paced world to prepare their own meals anymore. Therefore, they grab quick junk foods from corner stores, fast food joints, and restaurants. End result is that this habit makes it harder to stay healthy and lean, because neither the corner stores, fast food joints nor the restaurants are looking out for your health. They are only after one thing YOUR CASH!

Then who takes care of your health? The billion dollars pharmaceutical companies? Surely they aren't going to look out for your health either. In fact, they want you to be sicker than ever, so that you buy more of their magic drugs. The "rich supplement" companies are not worried about your health either. On the contrary, they love the fact that people are getting fatter all the time, because this assures their long-term existence and prosperity. Yes they see the "fat world" as an opportunity where they can persuade through their fancy marketing that they have magical and fast-fix solutions, and all you have to do is spend your cash to procure their pills and you'll be magically lean and mean again and all that without changing anything else in your lifestyle. BS.

Our own lifestyle is killing us slowly, but surely. It's pretty simple as to why the world is becoming a fatter place at an astonishing rate. The population in general is living a sedentary lifestyle. Children (especially those living in apartments) no longer run around and play games outside. They now spend more of their time inside playing video games, surfing the web on their computers, watch movies, etc... Adults do less manual works than before. Technological progress has turned us into lazier than ever beings on a daily basis.

What can we do about it then? Once a wise man said, "Every man is in control of his own destiny. It's just a question of his willpower" I personally agree to this claim and I will elaborate more on this in my next article in a few days. So come back later and check it out.
