Are you trying to make extra income; earn more cash? Do you have a little more time on your hands because you are a stay-at-home mom, or parent? Maybe you've retired, or have taken early redundancy? Either way it's a minefield out there and you would probably like some clarity or help with your searching.
Maybe you've heard of Affiliate Marketing. People out there are promising the earth and it's all at your feet to just pick up and run with. Promises of, start making money in 24 hours', or, easy to set up in 30 minutes', are everywhere. But you must keep your wits about you; you must do your homework.
You are confused, you don't know who to trust and you certainly can't see the wood for the trees.
So what should you do? You have recently been persuaded to take early retirement, or you took voluntary redundancy. You may even have a little windfall to start you off. Beware!
Maybe you need to stay at home to look after someone who is sick. Maybe that someone is you and working at the office or factory every day is no longer an option. But you need to supplement your income. You have a computer, an internet connection and you are ready to get going. Beware again!
First up, please don't think that anything is really easy. Nothing falls into our laps in this world. A few people buy a winning lottery ticket, but most people pay for their holidays and luxuries from money they earn. Try to remember that. Effort and patience are required, as well as some hard work, even if you can ease off once the setting up is done.
Search engines are marvellous inventions and in the 15 years or so that they have been helping us to search the world wide web they have come a long way. But everything you read on the internet is not always the truth!
That's no surprise really is it? Even the reviews you read on the web are not always true! Sometimes those reviews are written by the people whose product it is, disguised to look like someone else.
But you have to do your research. You must look up names, and products and make a judgement from what you read and the evidence you seem to be being given and make your own decisions..
I would recommend a plan of action. Keep a notebook. Set off in a direction and stick to it, rather than get side-tracked. Set yourself some time-limits; half an hour to look up everything on X'.
But you don't have to start at square one, some groundwork has already been done. It shouldn't stop you researching and looking things up, but I've made some choices and now you can make yours. Click here to see what you think
