Should Seniors and Retirees Consider Affiliate Marketing?

Seniors and retirees have, like everyone else been hit hard by the recession. Rising medical costs is another big and, sometimes unexpected expense that may not have been taken into consideration when planning for retirement. Living on a fixed income is sometimes difficult for people to adjust to after working all their lives and being able to make adjustments in their income by perhaps finding a better paying job, or a second job for a period of time to help adjust when times get tough.

I know when I recently retired and had to adjust to less revenue coming in, it was scary. I had plenty of spare time on my hands so I started looking for another income source. With the high unemployment, and at my age I knew it would be difficult to find an extra source of income, so the first thing that came to mind was to look for something that I could do using my home computer. I had worked hard all my life and I was not about to give up now.

I looked at many different options that were offered on the internet. I even signed up for a few which was very costly, and I soon found that the ones I signed up for were a ripoff and were not going to help me become successful. After continuing to search, I finally found a program at a very reasonable price that promised to teach me everything that I needed to know about how to make a comfortable living doing affiliate marketing.

Needless to say, this has been quite an experience. I am now heavily involved in their program. I do it in my spare time and I am able to work at it seven days a week if I choose. It keeps me busy and I learn new things everyday just by following the detailed instructions that are provided, and I do it at my own pace. When I get tired I stop and do something else, and the great thing about it is that I work at it in my home office, so I don't have to commute as I always did before. I am home with my family every day.

Okay, I'll tell you, the organization I joined is The Wealthy Affiliate University. In the short time since I signed up, (May 2010), I have created two websites which are starting to provide extra income, and I now have over 100 video's on You Tube selling products and creating another income stream, and believe me, I have only scratched the surface of what is offered at WA. I continue to build my home business daily and success is now a given.

If anything I have said here is of interest to you, and sounds like something you would like to try, you can log in to my website, and sign up for my FREE "Mad Marketing Program". There is no obligation, it's absolutely FREE, and will provide you with 10 lessons to get you started in affiliate marketing. You can start earning extra income by the end of the 10 lessons. Try it and see if you like it, and if you do, you can join Wealthy Affiliate and start your own home business as I have done for my family and me.
