New Jaguar Weymouth
New Jaguar Weymouth

Situated on the mouth of the River Wey, Weymouth is a large town in Dorset. The town's population is 52,950. The A354 road bridge connects Weymouth to Portland, which together form the borough of Weymouth and Portland.

Historically the main employers were the fishing and trading industry, but tourism is the main employing industry at the moment. Weymouth is now a tourist resort and it relies on its harbour and tourists to boost its economy.

I purchased my new Jaguar in Weymouth but, I did not have enough time to visit the attractions the town has to offer, which is a shame. Weymouth Harbour is home to cross-channel ferries, pleasure boats and private yachts, and nearby Portland Harbour is home to the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy. The 2012 Olympics games' sailing events will be held at the academy, which will help attract more visitors to the town.

The beach at Weymouth is beautiful, a true British holiday beach with blue waters and golden sand. There is plenty of entertainment for all the family, with traditional Punch and Judy, donkey rides along the sands, as well as trampolines, Pedelos and swing boats.

The Harbour which is situated adjacent to the town centre and beach is alive with colour and activity, the bustling harbour is a true delight; providing the perfect place to relax with a meal or drink, have a leisurely browse, or simply sit and watch the nautical world go by.
