Cabbage Soup Diet Reviews -- Tips and Ideas

It's almost quicker to start on a cabbage soup diet than it is to read cabbage soup diet reviews. That's because this is a diet that uses foods you probably already have on hand. You don't need any strange foods or any special supplements. It's simple and it's cheap. There really is little or nothing to buy and no weird things to try to chock down either as you find with so many eating plans that circulate. But does it work or not, that is the question?

Well it depends on what you wish to accomplish. Real lasting weight loss requires changing habits and lifestyle, that's for sure. A diet can be a part of a long term plan and in that case can be valuable. Let's face it, losing a pound or two a week on a long term plan is pretty discouraging and after all that's a typical sort of weight loss one can expect with a sensible eating and exercise program. The scale seems to hardly move at all. The temptation is to just give up and forget it since progress if any is so slow as to be almost invisible. What I like to see is some action. I like to see that scale move. If that's what you want, this plan can help.

The cabbage soup diet isn't just eating cabbage soup for a week. It's more interesting than that and that's a good thing since eating just cabbage soup for a long period sounds almost worse than having the extra that needs to be lost. Actually the cabbage soup is a filler. You can eat all you want whenever you want. It's filling but very low in calories, you see. You get to eat other food during the seven day diet.

Each day you eat certain foods, but only those foods. In all cases though, you can eat all the cabbage soup that you want or can stand in whichever case you find yourself that is. For example, one day you eat all the vegetables you want plus the soup. Then on one day you eat all the vegetables plus all the fruits you want. It varies from day to day, but you get plenty to eat. Absent from the foods are breads and desserts. But each day is different to keep it interesting. Really this is a fat and calorie restricted diet and you will lose weight. It's not too hard to do since you do get plenty of food to keep you full. This is not at all a long term, balanced eating plan. It's just a way to drop a few pounds in a hurry.

This plan has worked for me. It has several advantages. You get plenty to eat so you're not hungry all the time. Each day is different so it's not too boring. It's also a cheap way to eat too since there are no strange foods or supplements that must be purchased. It's just fast and effective if you just want to shed a few pounds fast. Like any diet plan it only really works as a part of a bigger objective that must include serious lifestyle changes that must be implemented and then followed.
