All About Combination Boilers

In both domestic and commercial properties there is an increasing tendency to install combi (combination) boilers as they provide a very cost efficient means with which to heat water and provide central heating in a property. These type of boilers heat the water and the radiators on demand, with no hot water tank having to be heated beforehand. This obviously saves on energy costs and makes the whole heating system much more environmentally friendly.

But the other big advantage of using combination boilers is the way in which they save both money and space as there is no need for a hot water cylinder or expansion tank. Coupled with the way they reduce fuel bills this obviously makes them very cost effective

The fact that hot water is available as and when needed has also led to combination boilers becoming increasingly popular, especially with home owners. With hot water being constantly available, there is no worry about the tank running out of hot water, or having to heat it before a large amount is needed, such as when taking a bath or shower.

On the downside, should someone run a tap elsewhere in the property, it will have an effect on the volume of the running hot water. This can be annoying should you be taking a shower at the time. But compared with all of the advantages associated with combi boilers this is only a minor irritation.

The bottom line is that the long-term save you money on your fuel bills following the initial cost of having one installed. Overall they are usually a good investment for householders.
