The sticky gas pedals on Toyota cars are sticking in the craw of the legal beagles for Ford Motor Company. Plasticolor, manufacturer of plastisol car floor mats, announced that their license with the Ford Motor Company to make front car floor mats with various Ford logos on them.
For decades Plasticolor has supplied colorful rubber-like floor mats for cars and trucks with the blue Ford Oval. This will come to an end on December 31, 2010 when their license will expire. After that date, lovers of Ford front floor mats will have to scour the internet to find web stores that still have some in stock.
Robin at LogoProducts4Less.com, a leading web retailer of car, cartoon and sports logo automotive items, said "We are going to buy as many Ford logo floor mats as we can afford." She indicated that they would probably have them available until sometime in 2011. LogoProducts4Less also bought large quantities of Sponge Bob floor mats, Snoopy car accessories and Spiderman car accessories when they were no longer in production.
There will still be some floor mats available with the Ford logo. Lloyd Mats recently announced that they will be able to continue putting the Ford logo on custom personalized car mats that fit older Ford vehicles. The license for these for 2011 has been renewed. They are available at any store that offers Lloyd mats.
With Christmas just weeks away, it might be a good idea to put Ford front floor mats on your shopping list for that Mustang lover or the Ford F-150 lover in your family. If you don't get them now, you probably won't get them!
