There are a great number of keyword and niche research tools on the market today but none appear as versatile as Market Samurai. I originally bought the software when it first came out as part of the 30 Day Challenge and have never regretted it.
For me the big plus for Market Samurai is the amount of features that the software contains. It allows me to start with an idea, carry out the keyword research, assess the competition, find content and go ahead and publish a Wordpress blog.
Within Market Samurai you will find the following modules:
Keyword Research. This is far more detailed than some keyword tools and provides additional keywords, their adword values, competition and commerciality of the word or phrase.
SEO competition. He software returns the results from the top ten sites for your keyword giving their ranking, age back links and other features that effect their ranking. You can also add other sites such as your own to see how they compare and discover the areas you need to develop.
Rank Tracker. Just add your domain and keywords and the software will provide the ranking that your site has for each of your keywords on the major search engines.
Find Content. This module will search the Internet and come up with suitable content that you can add to your site.
Monetization: Is a feature that will trawl Clickbank, Amazon, Commission Junction and PayDot.Com to find suitable products for you to promote on your site.
There are two further features which allow you to publish content directly from Market Samurai and a promotion feature which searches for relevant Web 2.0 sites, forums and blogs that are related to your keyword which you can link too.
When I first purchased the program only about 3 or 4 of the features where actually up and running but over the last eighteen months the others have been introduced . Admittedly at first one or two of them has some bugs but the problems were quickly resolved.
As a non "techie" type I appreciate the simplicity of use. I also like the fact that it is just a one off payment and not a monthly subscription. However, at $149 it is not the cheapest software that you will ever buy. My own recommendation is not to buy it in the first instance but take advantage of their free trial offer. Test it out and see if it suits your need and then decide if it is for you or not.
