Palace on wheels : Amongst top ten luxury train of the world

Palace on Wheels is the most luxurious trip started with the objective of providing its tourists the unique experience of Rajasthan. She moves like a Queen and rules like a king. Palace on Wheels is an unforgettable experience. It symbolizes the rich Indian Heritage. It takes you through the most exotic places of India- Delhi, Agra, and also through the Royal Rajasthan.

The schedule is as follows:

Day 1: New Delhi is the place where you join the tour group. On the first day you visit places like India Gate, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb and more in Delhi. A traditional warm welcome is given to the tourists before actually the Palace On Wheels pulls out on the tracks for a long weeks luxurious journey.

Day 2: The first stop of the train is at Jaipur, also the capital city of Rajasthan, and also known as "The Pink City". An air-conditioned coach takes you to Hawa Mahal, which is outstanding five storeyed building. Then the next stop is at splendid Amber Fort, where ride on decorated elephants adds to the ambiance. Rajasthan known for its handicrafts, jewellery, pottery, textiles, has only one authentic shop "The Rajasthan Government Emporium" selling genuine things at fixed price. After lunch you are off to City palace, then to Jantar Mantar and then back to the coach for the dinner at 6.30 pm.

Day 3: On the third day the Palace On Wheels arrives at Sawai Madhopur and Chitturgarh. After breakfast a visit to the Ranthombhar National park is arranged. This wild life sanctuary is home to more than 300 species. The tiger, jackal, hyena, fox and many more species are seen here. Upon return to the Wheels you leave for Chitturgarh to see the beautiful countryside Chitturgarh Fort and much more.

Day 4: Arrival in Udaipur is at 8.00am. Two beautiful sites of Udaipur, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir rises from the blue waters from the Lake Pichhola are visited. After lunch a visit to City Palace is breath taking.

Day 5: Jaisalmer lies in the heart of Thar Desert. The Nathmalji-ki-haveli, Patwon-ki-haveli and Salim Singh-ki-haveli are fine examples of the stone carver's skill. After having dinner and watching cultural programmes in Jaisalmer we go back on the Wheels.

Day 6: Next morning it's in Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan. The grand palaces like Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are visited. After the lunch you are back on the Wheels.

Day 7: Early morning the Wheels reach Bharatpur, known for its bird sanctuary. After that you arrive at Fatehpur Sikri for the lunch at The Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world. After dinner on board and a good night's sleep, arrive at Safdarjung Train Station, New Delhi at 6.00 am the next morning.
