Get Ready for Windows 8 - The next generation Operating system

Microsoft Vista was released around November 2006 was a revolution from the end of Microsoft in terms of Hardware Requirement. Microsoft Vista moved to Vector Graphics from Raster Graphics hence Hardware Requirement is very high when compared to Windows 98 or XP. Hence, any image on the screen with Windows Vista will certainly consist of paths like lines or curves and not pixels or dots thus making the image more crystal clear and appealing. As a result those computers that were running Windows XP with minimum amount of RAM failed to run Windows Vista. It's worthy to mention here that Microsoft developed this Operating system from scratch. Windows 7 released around July 2009 continued this Trend but overcame certain incompatibility features which did not allow Windows Vista as the successor of Windows XP. So, What's Next? As per Microsoft they are going to release Windows 8 - The next generation Operating system, although critics say Microsoft is following the path of Apple by introducing features which are already there in Apple OS X.

Till now, there is no official release or official document from Microsoft about features of Windows 8 Operating System but it has been heard or rather we can say that there are rumors going on that Windows 8 will be a 128 bit Operating System and it will support advanced technologies like USB 3.0, Bluetooth 3.0 and it may support Face recognition. This implies that present set of hardware won't support Windows 8 Operating System as they are either 32 bit or 64 bit. In terms of processing it is quantum leap by this software giant. As it will support 128 bit processing a typical computer supporting 128 bit processing should have the configuration among other set of Hardwares, like 1. Intel or AMD processor supporting 128 bit processing definitely multi core and clock speed maybe 3.0 Ghz-4.0 Ghz, 2. 4 GB / 5 GB RAM, and 3. 2 GB Graphics Card maybe from Market leaders like NVidia or ATI.

It is also expected that Microsoft will improve startup timings and performance issues although it was definitely improved with Windows 7. But definitely it will improve Security issues hence this OS can be used in areas where Security is the first priority. We might also see great improvements with Internet Explorer. Microsoft might pack the OS with IE 9 though IE 9 should be released long before the release of Windows 8 Operating system.

As we have already discussed that Windows 8 will support USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 hence we might see higher data transfer rates, improved power management features but not to worry it will be definitely backward compatibility with version 2.0.

The face recognition feature is definitely not a new application but it is expected that it will be integrated with the Operating System. This software might as well go ahead and show signs of Artificial Intelligence by showing signs of Human presence or by adjusting colour, contrast or light automatically with the surroundings.

But the big question is when can we see release of Windows 8. As per Microsoft, its possible within a time frame of 2(two) years hence 2012 might be a big year for us. And with that we can also expect a Beta Release in 2011 or beginning of 2012.
