Customer Review:
I got a call from the Year of the Wireless N XR model.
The field is 45 yards from the Wireless Access Point and is very slow loading of the film, for a minute or two before it begins. Streams also ok, if it starts. Both my laptop works in this area and well beyond.
I reply that their wireless is different than other wireless and is good only 1940-1950 meters. Since I was in this area for more than 30 days, was her answer, which I sell on eBay!
If you think about this model do not expect.
Web sites he had to say: "Wireless only good for 1940 to 1950 meters" Instead, he says, "Wi-Fi (802.11n/b/g Dual-Band") with WEP, WPA, WPA2 and support. "
It is a great idea, but the execution is weak wireless. Approximately 30 "or less it works pretty well.

Roku Rocks
Roku has a lot of video channels. I bought it for its connection to Netflix. But found the Radio Paradise channel to be the one I use the most. All it needs now is [...] and I would be even happier with Roku.

Works well right out of the box....
I was streaming a Netflix movie in about 10 minutes including signing up for Netflix. The wireless setup was extremely easy. I had purchased a dual band router just for this purpose. The Roku box found both bands and connecting to the 5ghz. band was a simple click. Where is Hulu???.......I thought it was coming to Roku?

Recommended, despite some setup and MLB.tv glitches
This year I decided to try out MLB.tv after being an Extra Innings subscriber for the past six or seven years. My local cable system never offered the HD Extra Innings game, and the picture quality for the team I watched most often was worse than regular SD channels so I finally decided it wasn't worth the money. After a couple of weeks of watching games on my laptop I realized that wasn't going to be a satisfying alternative for the whole season, so I started looking for alternatives. Enter the Roku.
Setup was relatively easy, with a few hiccups connecting to the Internet through my wireless network (which uses a DSL connection). I had to repeat a few steps but ultimately was successful. Similarly, the process to download the firmware upgrade was a little dodgy and it took a few tries before the update completed. Despite the glitches I was ready to go in about 45 minutes or so.
The MLB.tv channel was still pretty new when I got the Roku near the end of April, despite the season being a few weeks old already. The channel is described as "beta," which is no doubt meant to explain away the connection/reload issues while watching games. After looking in the forums on the Roku site, I feel like my experience was better than many posting there but was still a little rocky, especially in the first couple of weeks after I got the Roku. Sometimes games would be interrupted with the "retrieving" message, and the screen would just hang - I had to exit to the main screen and re-start the feed. In the last couple of weeks, though, the baseball feeds have definitely been more solid in my experience.
Picture quality for MLB.tv is way better than what I had with Extra Innings (16:9 picture, for openers) but it does take a little getting used to. It almost looks like it might be playing at 24 frames per second, instead of the standard 30. (This may be a function of my connection - I haven't tried the device on anything other than my DSL network, so I can't say for sure.) The picture quality definitely doesn't detract from enjoying the games, it just looks a little different from regular HD TV.
I've only used the Roku a couple of times for Netflix, and it's performed perfectly: high-quality image and no retrieving/buffering issues. I haven't yet used any of the other Roku channels.
All in all, as I say in the review title, I recommend this device and am glad I bought it. Just be prepared, as an early adopter, for a few bumps in the road.
