I had this player for a month. My previous Blu-ray player, Pioneer was the 51D, which was great.
Virgin consider to be faster. Our image quality almost, but not as good as the Pioneer.
I bought this player for Netflix and I watched 6.5 movies without problems.
I also saw Video on Demand on Amazon. I had some performance problems, but I'm not sure if this is because my network for gamers. I have it connected to a wired network.
Updating the firmware 1.23 last Pandora, which is astounding saw. Played a Blu-ray Disc standard and I threw at him.
The configuration is very simple. Functions of the user interface to the network is very easy to use and lightweight.
This player has no bells and whistles, Sony, LG and Samsung, but it is much more stable and reliable.
I have no complaints. I wish this player had DLNA, but it is not. Overall I am satisfied with your purchase.

Panasonic Bluray worth every penny; quality product - great picture and sound. Easy set-up, including wireless feature. No access to Pandora (or equivilent) only real downside.

I have had the Bluray player for a couple of months and I am very pleased with it. Upgraded from Samsung 2550...the picture quality is similar the panny is somewhat better, but I was more interested in the networking such as Youtube, weather, stocks, netflix etc. Also one of the main things I used on the Sammy was Pandora and netflix and it did not come with Pandora. That was disappointing even though it was suppose to have it. I email both companies (Pandora and Panasonic) said they were working on it. Well, 2 days ago I received the first firmware upgrade and did not notice any add ons, oh well. Until 2 days later and there they were...several add ons and Pandora. It also seemed that there were many more to come. The uploading of Netflix streaming is very fast and precise everytime. Also the HD quality of streaming is excellent as well. I highly recommend this Player. It is hard wired with a Cat-5 cable, so I cannot comment on the WiFi.

We purchased a Sony Playstation 3 less than two years ago, and twice it quit playing DVD's. The first time Sony reluctantly agreed to honor the warranty and replace the unit. This last time (just a year later), they would charge us to repair the unit. It would cost us more to repair the Playstation than to buy this Panasonic. Needless to say, we are disappointed in Sony, but at the end of the day we are delighted that the Sony Playstation 3 quit! Why? Because we had to go shopping for a replacement and this is how we ended up buying the Panasonic. It is incredible.
It was the easiest piece of electronic equipment I have ever installed. The hardest part was threading the power cord through the opening in the back of the home entertainment shelving unit! I swear. Everything else was a snap: plug and play. We were watching DVD's within 15 minutes of taking it out of the box and streaming Amazon Video content within a couple of hours!
The picture quality is everything we expected, but the sound was a surprise in that it was even better than anything we had experienced before.
If you are looking for a Blu-Ray player with internet streaming capabilities that comes complete in the box (meaning you don't have to buy anything else to hookup to the internet assuming you already have a high speed connection), this is it!
I would recommend this particular unit to my friends and family with no hesitation.
