Ezira {Ezziha} is a village, located at Eastern Nigeria, in Orumba south local government Area of Anambra state, Nigeria, West Africa, in Africa. A.K.A Umuozimba Ihe. Ezira was found byAncientfathers of the village, in more than 2000 years ago. The population rated about 87,000, They speaks Ibo and English. Some of clans in Ezira are : Obuotu {umu obi n'ikpa}, Emuohio, Okii, Ubaha Ezziha, Egbeagu and Umueze. The nebouring towns of Ezira are Umunze, Isulo, Ezeagu, and Umuomaku. Ezira once had land dispute with Isulo around 1971 and Umuomaku {Umu okpurukpu} around 1988 - 1997. The name Ezziha could mean "show them" or "teach them".

Their famous streams and river are : Ezudo, Osuu Okii, Edem, Osuu Basin Ugbo ezudo and Aghommili river. they also have cave called okukoro onu okpa. Ezira has about 21 deities, the famous deity of Ezira is called, Onyoroya, {onyiri oha} the deity wasrecognizeby his reactions when his priestess called Mgbafor Onyoroha was arrested by police men of Awka division. There was signs and wonder, perfomed by the deity, read " akuko maka Mgbafor onyoroha, the book can be found in United States' liberies and others.There are many Churches in Ezira, some of these churches are : St. Adrew's Anglican Church, Christ holy church, st. peter's Catholic Church, United Church of God, etc. Ezira had a popular and great Chief called Eric Anozie, who died in 1993, some of great men of Ezira are: Eric Anozie, Omenyi Ugbaja, OBC Ezennia, Igwe Onodugo, Otigbu Inyinya, late Chief Ozugwo, Late Cheif Akwa Akwuru, Abiokonta, Henry Iloka, Edwin Ilo, Ifeanyi Ilo, Matilda Adimekwe,Ernest Okafor {Nwaobu}, Chukwudi Ifeonu, Emmanuel Iroko,etc.
Ezira have a popular market called Eke Ezira, they have annual festival known as Ihe Eke, their famousmasquerades areMgbedike, mgbori oji, nwayaya, achikwu, Ugo mmanwu. there some initiation ceremonies one can go through before joining the group of masquerade.
Foods and Products.
Eziran are hardworking Traders and, farmers, some of their farm products are : Rice {in commercial quantity}, Cassava Tuba, Yam Tuba, Cocoa yam Cum, Maize {in commercial quantity}, rubber, Timber,Plantains, bananas, palm wine, palm oil & palm kanels {in commercial quantity} vegetables, fruites {in commercial quantity} Animal hunting, hides and skins. etc.

Ezira has age grade known and Umuozimba Ihe Age grade of Ezira, they have cultural dance group called Opuru iche dance. They love andentertainstrangers, they are peace loving people and friendly.
