Do People REALLY Need to Detox or Cleanse?

Most people do not like to talk about detoxing or colon cleansing, not even healthcare professionals. It just seems to be a disgusting topic and when is a proper time to have a conversation of this type? Certainly, not over a meal. Many times people just read about it or sometimes, someone is so excited about how they feel after a colon cleanse or detox that they just want to talk about it.

Over time your body may show some signs that you have built up toxins. You may not feel good or you may feel sluggish...not quiet right. Your whole body fitness and health can be affected by toxins.

The sluggishness you feel can lead to you feeling stressed-out. Your body may experience continuous aching and there is no flu going around. Diarrhea or constipation are pretty good indications that things are just not right inside. Sometimes people experience a rapid and unusual weight gain and no matter what or how little they eat they just cannot lose the excess weight. Could toxins building up in the body be the cause?

It is interesting to learn that the toxins found in the body are found and stored in your fat cells. For many Americans who are consuming the usual American fast food and prepared frozen meals they may consume tons of garbage toxins for each cell.

There are particular organs in your body that detoxify your body and clean the garbage from where it is stored. Cell waste management and elimination depend on certain organs in our bodies which play a major role in the detoxing process that will help the body stay fit and healthy. Let me briefly explain their roles in this process.

1. The liver supports almost every organ in the body and is vital for survival. This organ plays a major role in metabolism and production of biochemicals necessary for digestion with detoxification being one of them. It sorts out the toxins and places them to the organ for elimination during the process of circulation.

2. The lymph glands also play an important role in eliminating the toxins. The lymph system brings out the excess waste of the cells from the body and brings the waste to the final eliminating organs. These are major lymphatic glands that help the major organs of the body in cleansing and detoxing: appendix, thymus, tonsil, and spleen.

3. The kidneys excrete a variety of waste products produced by metabolism and help in the water management of the body. They serve the body as a natural filter of the blood, and remove wastes which are diverted to the urinary bladder. You can help your kidney to function better by drinking plenty of water. When you can drink fresh alkaline juices and purified water but any fluid will work when those are not available. Some people recommend putting lemon in the water

4. The lungs are the organs that keep the blood air purified. Their principal function is to transport oxygen from the atmosphere into the bloodstream, and to release carbon dioxide from the bloodstream into the atmosphere. The lungs also responsible in removing waste gases that are found in every cell of the body. Keep the lungs healthy by deep breathing and getting fresh air.

5. The colon is a solid waste management organ in your body. It has been reported that many people may have up to an 80-pound mucus and rubber like solid waste on the walls of the colon. Detoxing and cleaning the colon can be accomplished with colon cleanses and detoxifying systems. This is one area that everyone can work on themselves and have the good benefits of having a clean and healthy body.

If you are experiencing some signs of needing detoxification, you may try putting a regular walking or exercise program into your life. Exercise is a good key in having a fit and healthy body. Many diet counselors suggest that you drink plenty of lemon water. Maintaining a very good circulation through proper diet and increased water consumption can increase the rate of detoxification inside the body.
