subject: Avoiding False Internet Marketing Schemes [print this page] Avoiding False Internet Marketing Schemes
Whatever your niche is I can guarantee that there are people right now gathered on blog and forum sites talking about it. Whatever your product is, there are specific groups gathered like this that are the most likely of all people to buy it. The trick is to unearth those that are there discussing problems that they have and then presenting your product as a solution to their problem - without it being done as obvious as this.
So, when I say problem I mean anything that someone might want but doesn't have - from advice on how to win the lottery to advice on how to stop slicing a golf ball. So your mission is to try and find these people that have these type of issues.
Type your key words into google followed by the word forums. Now go do this again but replace the word forums with the word blogs. Now visit the top 10 sites that the search brings up and select four of the busiest to join. Busiest being those that have had the most posts within the last 48 hours.
For each blog and forum that you join you will need to aim to be posting at least 3 times each week and make sure that you're posting quality content of no less than 200 words.
Quality content means don't just join and start advertising your site or product. Other members will see straight through this and you could be removed from the site. You can leave your website address in your signature tag as this is part of your identity.
The content also needs to be original, thoughtful and very specific to what other members are talking about. I would recommend that you interact with those members that are most influential and active.
This type of traffic is very targeted and will start to convert well but it does take a little bit of time so you will need to be patient.
