7 Tips to a Flatter Stomach

There are absolutely tons of flat stomach tips online and in fitness magazines. However, the majority of them are dead wrong.

The truth is, getting ripped abs is not that hard. Many people make it much harder than it needs to be. Here are eight ways to make it happen now:

#1) Consume foods with lots of fiber

This will improve your digestion and bowel movement. Often times protruding abs are the result of poor bowel movement, as the food just sits in the stomach.

#2) Eat frequently

Eating smaller meals throughout the day is far better than consuming large meals three times a day, like most people. This because it keeps the metabolism flowing.

There is a myth that some people are blessed with fast metabolisms. While it is true that some are faster than others, anyone can boost theirs by keeping it moving throughout the day. The worst thing you can do is have your metabolism come to a dead stop.

Shoot for four meals a day, spaced roughly three to four hours apart. Also make sure not to consume anything too heavy close to bedtime.

#3) Focus on easy to digest foods

Difficult to digest foods like cooked foods just sit in the stomach as the body works to eliminate them. It's easy to see how this can be bad for flat abs.

Instead, you want to focus on foods that pass through the system effortlessly. That's why a diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables is so effective.

#4) Avoid pills

The best pills will do nothing apart from a good diet and exercise regime. Even then, they will only improve your results by five percent at most.

#5) Drink more water

This will help the body stay cleansed, which again improves the digestion and bowel movement.

#6) Work out the entire body

Despite what a lot of people think, crunches are not the best workout for a flat stomach. Whole body workouts are the king.

This is because there is more balance. Your body cannot just burn fat in one area. If it does, fat from another part will just move over to take its' place.

Also, when you just exercise the abs, they get overworked and worn out. On the other hand, working out the entire body creates a better balance. You are not exhausting one part of the body, and therefore will achieve better results.

#7) Avoid steady state cardio.

The human body was not designed to run at a slow pace for a long time. Instead, it was designed for more short bursts of activity, like sprinting, climbing, swimming, etc.

Think about the typical marathon runner build: they look small muscled and weak. On the other hand, intense exercising focuses on the fast twitch muscles. These are the ones that will burn fat.

The slow twitch muscles are virtuously useless for dropping fat. The only way to target the fast twitch muscles is by exercising intensely.

Make sure to keep your breaks very short, as this keeps the metabolism going. Short and vigorous workouts are the best way to drop stomach fat quickly.

The bottom line: these flat stomach tips might not seem like rocket science. However, when you implement them, you will see dramatic results shortly.
