10 Things You Probably Would Never Say To Your Ex-Wife

After going through a separation or divorce, there are certainly statements that one probably wisheshad been said. There are also statements that one wishes also hadn'tbeen said. Whether it is through attorneys, texts, or emails, words exchanged between a man and woman going through a divorce can, at the very least, be heated. At the end of it all, it is only human to think about the things that could have been expressed, whether those words were in anger or out of love.

After a divorce has been finalized, it is important to focus on improving communication with your ex, especially if you have children. In an effort to be civil and good-natured, the words now expressedshould convey thoughtfulness, compassion, and humility.

Unfortunately, these are not the words.

1. You're right, the divorce really was an excellent way for me to really find myself.

2. You have such a beautiful glow about you.

3. Give me a call sometime, and let's catch up.

4. I am really grateful for all of the name-calling; it allowed me to get thicker skin.

5. If you ever get married again, I hope you will invite me to the wedding.

6. Your boyfriend/girlfriend is great. I hope you stay together because he/she is the best thing that has happened to you.

7. Would you mind if I still keep in touch with your parents?

8. I know everything I have ever told you will remain just between us, right?

9. Thank you for the years we were together.

10. Where would I ever be without you.
