Making your brand work in the physical environment exhibitions, interiors and signage

Interior design that will make a brand flourish is always a challenge. Like the graphic designer an interior designer must fully understand and absorb the brand in order to create a physical environment that will reflect and embellish the style statement of the brand. Most importantly the interior orexhibition design should not conflict or confuse the brand, but be well considered, mixing materials, colours and fixtures specifically chosen and picked to enhance the brand.

I work with onebestway lots. And here's are a few things that we think about with regards to Interior design.

Who is the target audience of the brand? Is an early question that an interior designer should ask, and hopefully from the brand design this will be obvious. If the target audience is young then the choice of fixtures and finishes should reflect the energy of a young customer, however comfort is always important putting a customer at ease in a space is paramount to seduce and encourage staying awhile and committing to a purchase.

External brandingsignage should be strong, clear and precise, representing the brand that is advertised in the public domain. Once inside the physical environment signage can be subtle and sublime, leaving the interior design to enhance the graphic brand by choosing complementary colours schemes that do not fight, absorb or drown the branding image.

An area of interest or conversation subject piece can be an effective foil for an interior or exhibition design scheme; a focus, enticing customers and offering a memorable element that can be associated with the brand in a subliminal manner.

Exhibition and interior design should reflect the lifestyle, personality and ambition of the brand and an interior designer should relish this challenge.

But this is just the beginning. onebestway will help you to create incredible physical environments and they'll be on brand, too.
